The massive six-bedroom Carlton House Mansion just hit the market, yet again, albeit this time with a $32.9 million price tag — half of its initial asking price.

The mansion, attached to Extell’s Carlton House, has already seen several large price reductions since first hitting the market four years ago. It was first listed for $65 million in 2014 and subsequently saw its asking price reduced in 2015 and 2016 to $49.5 million and $37.5 million, respectively.

Even Sotheby’s International Realty, known for curating one-of-a-kind properties, threw its hat in the ring and tried unsuccessfully to sell the mansion for $40 million in 2017.

New York brokerage Stribling and Associates now has the listing.

“The Carlton House Townhouse brings the unique opportunity to live in a 35-foot wide mansion  in the heart of the Upper East Side. The townhouse-style mansion, developed by Angelo, Gordon & Co. and Extell Development Company, is located at 21 East 61st Street. It has nearly 10,000 square feet over six floors, including a rooftop terrace and access to all of the Carlton House’s amenities, including a pool and concierge service.

The limestone and brick exterior of The Carlton House Mansion has been meticulously restored to its original appearance. And unlike many traditional townhouses, living spaces start on the second floor at the Carlton House Mansion.

The mansion features an open, loft-like floorplan with high ceilings, a sculptural staircase, French doors to terraces and Juliette balconies on every floor, and wide windows.
