It’s been less than six months since its initial launch, but The Lofthouse Condominiums in Riverdale is already 75 per cent sold. The unique loft-inspired project by boutique developer Grid Developments has attracted a mix of homebuyers from young couples to empty nesters with its modern architecture, spacious suites and prime location. Designed by Toronto-based architect George Popper, the six-storey residence is intimate in scale with only 58 suites and boasts a contemporary exterior design characterized by large windows, inset balconies and a soft two-toned colour palette. Amenities are focused on health and relaxation and include an outdoor space complete with a yoga studio overlooking tree canopies to the north.

Interiors are by renowned interior designer Andrew Pike and are well-appointed with 10-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, spa-inspired bathrooms and designer kitchens. The floorplans feature open concept layouts with square footages larger than your typical Toronto condominium. While one-bedroom units are prevalent at many other developments, the Lofthouse features just a lone single-bedroom suite. Instead, the developer has focused on offering more spacious, family-friendly units including 49 two- or three-bedroom suites that average more than 900 square feet.
