The corner of Yonge and Roxborough is preparing for the next wave of luxury living. A contemporary, six-storey building with a glass and limestone façade has begun to take shape, offering a limited collection of 15 residential suites. Hill and Dale by Old Stonehenge is exclusively represented and sold by Paul Johnston, with prices from well over $1 million.
Designed by JCI Studios, the mixed-use development will feature two floors of upscale retail space and an additional level for offices. This elevates the residential units to the fourth storey, creating a sense of privacy and optimizing views of Rosedale, Summerhill and the downtown Toronto skyline.
Drawing inspiration from the “vibrancy of the city” as well as the “tranquility of nearby parks,” Chapi Chapo designed the interiors to function like a traditional family home. Floor-to-ceiling windows optimize natural light, while the flow of the floorplans establishes a sense of openness. Warm tones and earthy textures characterize the living and dining areas, with wide-plank engineered oak flooring, marble fireplaces, built-in shelving and recessed lighting.
Hill and Dale partnered with state-of-the-art kitchen manufacturers bulthaup and Gaggenau to design custom kitchens that provide an authentic chef experience. Spacious islands, quartz surfaces, stainless steel backsplashes, millwork cabinetry and premium appliances add both elegance and functionality.
The lavishly appointed master suites feature adjoining dressing areas and French doors that lead to the ensuite. Large custom vanities, deep soaker tubs, walk-in showers and walls and floors finished in natural stone impart a calming feeling.
Each residence at Hill and Dale connects to a balcony or terrace, measuring between 144 and 2,400 square feet. These outdoor living spaces boast glass railings to provide unobstructed city views. Each of the three penthouses also features private rooftop terraces.
Scheduled for completion in 2018, the development will include one bedroom plus den, two bedroom plus den and three bedroom suites. Floorplans, which are available upon request, range from 973 to 3,600 square feet.
Yonge Street is lined with restaurants, designer boutiques, hip cafés and yoga studios. There are plenty of nearby green spaces, such as Ramsden Park and the Rosedale Ravine. Thanks to its central location, Hill and Dale offers easy access to transit, schools, private clubs and shopping centres.
