UPDATE 4:30pm: The latest report from NEWSTALK 1010 says the Ministry of Labour has been called in.

Original story: At approximately 3pm, four storeys of scaffolding fell from the Tableau Condos construction site and hit the back end of a passing taxi cab.

The accident occurred at 117 Peter Street, just south of Richmond Street West in Toronto.

People were supposedly inside the taxi at the time, but no injuries have been reported.

Multiple fire trucks and an ambulance are currently on site, and the street is expected to be closed for a few hours.

Increased levels of traffic are to be expected.
