Six must-do spring activities at Horseshoe Copeland House in Barrie
Horseshoe Copeland House in Barrie has long been touted as the ultimate condo community for winter sports, but come spring, residents will have just as many outdoor activities at their fingertips.
The four-storey residential building by Skyline is situated in the heart of Horseshoe Village, a master-planned resort community an hour and a half north of Toronto.
In honour of the exciting new development breaking ground this spring, we’ve compiled a list of the top on-site activities to test out once the balmy weather hits. It’s time to throw your ski boots and hockey sticks in storage.
1. Horseshoe Skyline Zip Line
Located in the community’s vibrant adventure park, residents can zoom down 2,075 feet on what is hailed as one of the fastest zip lines in Ontario. With a speed like that, there’s no time to be afraid of heights.
2. Climbing Wall
If you’ve long wanted to fine-tune your rock climbing skills, this is the place to do it. The wall is also a whopping 32 feet in height.
3. Mini Golf
No matter how straight-forward the rules, mini golf will forever remain one of the most beloved sports to ever exist — especially for families. So when the sun shines down, spend time on the 18-hole Ridgetop Mini Golf course. Warning: sand and water traps abound.
If mini golf is far too easy for you (ahem, pro) then take your skills to the big leagues. The village features two championship golf courses that will open in early May.
5. Downhill Mountain Biking and Cross-Country Trails
Make your way up on a lift and explore 20km of scenic trails that range from beginner to advanced. Some trails even feature obstacles like ladders, boxes and bridges. Skyline also hosts an exciting Centurion cycling event in the summer.
6. Euro Bungy
This bungy and trampoline hybrid will let you bounce, flip and twirl to your heart’s content. You’ll also be strapped into a safety harness, so the number of move possibilities is endless.
Besides the wealth of activities listed above, the community is also peppered with a myriad of shops and restaurants. The suites themselves will be outfitted with modern furnishings that still fit into the rustic and resort-style design.
Available suites start from $220,000 and range in size from 540 to 1,000 square feet.
