The boom in residential developments in the area has helped ignite a surge in commercial development and infrastructure projects.
Downtown Erin Mills will be adjacent to the Erin Mills Town Centre, a great place for future residents to get their shopping done.
While the Erin Mills Town Centre has rightfully earned a “one stop shop” reputation, there are plenty of interesting new shops and services opening in the area surrounding Downtown Erin Mills.
Manjak’s Gymnastics is a new 25,000 square foot gymnasium owned by Kelly Manjak, a former Canadian Olympic coach. The gym will be home to competitive gymnasts from across Southern Ontario.
Another addition to the area is the recently opened Steinway and Sons store. The world-renowned piano maker chose a quaint mall near Dundas Street West and Erin Mills Parkway for its piano gallery.
It speaks volumes to the community that the renowned piano company and a successful Olympic Coach chose the Erin Mills area for their businesses.
More proof of the area’s rapid revolution was the recent opening of the Tenth Line bike route that took place at the beginning of June. The lanes are an important new addition to the existing 100 kilometres of bike lanes and trails.

A new Mississauga Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project is also in the works. A high efficiency east-west transitway across the City of Mississauga will be constructed and will include a dedicated corridor parallel to Highway 403 from Winston Churchill Boulevard to Erin Mills Parkway and beyond.
The BRT is expected to be complete in late 2015 with the 18 kilometres transitway boasting 12 stations beginning at Winston Churchill Boulevard in the west and ending at Renforth Drive in the east.
