UofT and The Daniels Corporation revitalize iconic campus building

Screen shot 2013-06-14 at 4.57.10 PM The University of Toronto is planning a significant change to one of its most iconic buildings.

One Spadina Crescent will be the new home of the John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design.

Architect, developer, and philanthropist John H. Daniels and his wife Myrna Daniels have added $10 million dollars to their gift of $14 million dollars they gave to the faculty in 2008. The initial donation is what sparked the planning of the expansion.

The $24 million donation is the largest gift designated to any architecture program in Canadian history.

In addition, The Daniels Corporation, on behalf of the company’s management and staff will contribute $1 million to the UofT’s current fundraising campaign, evenly divided between capital and the John and Myrna Daniels Scholars award program.

We’re looking forward to seeing what the new One Spadina Crescent building will look like!
