Beyond its noteworthy interior designs and excellent Etobicoke location, Park Towers at IQ is garnering a lot of well deserved attention for something very unique.
The condo tower is part of the Remington Homes master planned community, IQ. The twist is the community will be home to more than just a collection of condo residences. Remington is working with landscape designer Janet Rosenberg to a park that will offer lush green space in an otherwise undeniably urban setting.
Zorra Park will contain two acres of green space and feature an amphitheatre, apple orchard, a fountain splash pad, and outdoor art installations.
“It’s different from the sort of cookie cutter approach that developers have taken in the past. Typically a park is sort of a green space with a slide and that’s that. This isn’t just a place to walk your dog,” said Remington’s high-rise president, Michael Bratty, in a Toronto Star article about the project.
“We’re incorporating the park as a gathering place for the community.”
The park will cost $2 million to build, but Remington expects it will be well worth it so residents can have a huge, visually dazzling park right at their doorstep.
