The mystery at 23 Caton Place in Windsor Terrace is solved — partially.
The long-stalled, recently restarted eight-story project had a case of Brooklyn Rashomon, with both the offices of DJ Associates and Karl Fischer claiming to be the architects when we spoke with them yesterday. Fischer’s office said that the 23 Caton Place renderings we broke last week were up-to-date and that they were still doing the project.
However, DJ Associates is officially the architect for the development, Councilman Brad Lander said during a Community Board 7 meeting yesterday. “Construction has restarted on that project,” Lander said, adding that DJ Associates did not respond to repeated invitations to attend Wednesday’s meeting and has not released any more information about its plans or the new owners for 23 Caton Place.
Why the mystery, DJ Associates? We just want to see what the building will look like!
