7:15pm UPDATE: Trump Tower has stated that the incident is not related to the structure of the building. Management is working with police to investigate.

5:40pm UPDATE: The Toronto Fire Department has stated that the falling glass was a result of maintenance being done on the building. Maintenance crews dropped a pane of glass while working on Trump Tower.

Original Story: A glass panel has fallen from Trump International Hotel & Tower at Bay and Adelaide in downtown Toronto. CP24 reported the news this afternoon and photos of broken glass have appeared on Twitter.

A slideshow on Huffington Post Canada has the title “Trump Tower Explosion” with photos of the broken window. They are currently the only news source that is reporting the event as an explosion.

Glass fell from the building in March of this year causing police to close the street.

Here’s a bit of what Twitter is saying about the incident:

That’s a lot of Trump bashing!

We’ll update this story once we learn more. You may recall Mr. Trump making some accusatory comments about the infamous dangling crane incident during Hurricane Sandy. Is this bad karma catching up to him?
