It was a big week for the folks at Empire Communities. Their very buzzworthy development, Rain Condos, broke ground in Oakville.
Dan Guizzetti, the president of Empire, was joined by Executive VP and CFO, Andrew Guizzetti, John Sawyer, the president of the Oakville Chamber of Commerce, Richard Messer from the Kerr Village BIA and Regional Councilor Cathy Duddeck for the groundbreaking ceremony.
Situated at Kerr Street and Speers Road, the development comprises two towers connected by a five storey podium. Rain is moments from Oakville’s beautiful waterfront, a range of transit options including GO Transit and the QEW and all the shopping on Lakeshore Road.

The groundbreaking also served as an opportunity to donate the money that Rain raised for the United Way at Oakville’s Midnight Madness, Jazz Fest and Regatta. Brad Park, CEO of the local chapter of the United Way, was on hand to accept the donation of $1,000.
They didn’t really need those umbrellas…
