Why did the house cross the road? To get back to the site of Pinnacle International‘s Pinnacle on Adelaide!

It’s been just over a year since we got to make that corny joke, but you can’t fault our comedic timing. Last Saturday morning Pinnacle International moved the Richard West House, one of the oldest buildings in Toronto’s downtown core, to the south side of their Pinnacle on Adelaide lot.

Last August the developer had moved the historic house from its original location to protect it during the construction of Pinnacle on Adelaide. Now that construction is well past the halfway complete point, it was safe for the house to return.

The folks at Pinnacle sent us some great photos from the house-move. Check them out below!

That’s one heck of a flatbed!

The Richard West House will be refreshed and destined to welcome new business when the Pinnacle on Adelaide tower is complete.

At first we thought this construction worker was attempting to push the house back into place. Not going to happen!
