It’s the double-whammy piece of news everyone in the new home industry likes to hear: the project is nearly sold out; and construction is imminent.
That’s the case at 144 Park [map], which is being developed by Mady Development Corporation. Sales are nosing past 90 percent and, though we’ve not ascertained when, exactly, ground will be broken, someone close to the project tells us it’s happening soon.144 Park will soon be nestled into the Old Westmount neighbourhood, which overlooks uptown Waterloo. The building’s 149-units will range in size from 669 to 2700 square feet – we’ll take the 2700 square foot unit if you’ve got one left!

The fourth floor outdoor terrace, which can be accessed via the indoor resident’s lounge, leads the charge in terms of amenities. But we also like the sound of the fitness area which features state-of-the-art cardio and weight systems. Then flop in front of a movie in the fully-equipped theatre room!

The project’s attributes (which also include some smart green features) have combined to draw a diverse swath of purchasers. The 144 Park sales team tells us that both young and old alike have purchased suites, which is impressive in a market that has often been painted as conservative in taste and generally skeptical about new condominium projects. Nothin’ not to love here. . .
